Adrian is an active pianist and has given recitals around the UK. As an undergraduate student he took lessons at the Royal Academy of Music with Professor Aaron Shorr as part of his studies at King’s College London.
He has given recitals in his home town of Plymouth at the Sherwell Centre, at Harewood House in Harrogate and the Floral Hall, Royal Opera House, as part of the 150th anniversary celebrations of Saffery Champness. He has also performed at the Wales Millennium Centre, UWE Bristol and at Cardiff University’s main concert hall.
In 2004 he performed a score that he composed to accompany Alfred Hitchcock’s classic film, The Lodger at the National Screen and Sound Archive, Aberystwyth. The score was originally written as part of Wales Cinema Day 2004 and performed at Pontardawe Arts Centre in Swansea.
As well as taking the role of Musical Director for the performances Adrian worked as a rehearsal pianist for a production of West Side Story that took place in the The New Theatre in Cardiff in October 2004.
Whilst still relevant to his academic work performing on the piano is now more of a hobby for Adrian but he still has ambitions to perform Schumman’s Piano Concerto one day…
